In 1997, MS Chauvin founded MARKESS International Europe, a marketing services and consultancy company. MARKESS International is part of an IT marketing and sales support services network with offices in Paris, France and Washington, USA.
From 1990 through 1997, MS Chauvin served as Vice President of INPUT, an international market research company specializing in IT services. In this position, she was responsible for operations in France, Belgium and Spain. She provided advice on IT services market potential, competitive positioning, business development strategy and partner evaluation. She performed various assignments to fulfill client requirements related to external and internal communications.
Prior to 1990, MS Chauvin worked with two software and services companies: as Business Development Manager at AT&T-Dataid and as International Marketing Manager at Econocom. In these positions, she analyzed market environments and assessed commercial and strategic impacts. She also developed marketing and communication programs to improve market penetration and to increase market presence and visibility.
Previously, she was Director of Research for International Data Corporation (IDC). For seven years, she built up the French research capabilities in the Paris office and created the IDC Consulting Group Division that focused on custom and confidential assignments for vendor and user companies.
In 1979, MS Chauvin was a marketing consultant with Institut Remy Genton, a French market research company specializing in user panels on data processing and office automation.
During the past 30 years, MS Chauvin has been a frequent speaker at industry conferences. She has contributed many articles to specialized newspapers related to trends in the IT industry.
